A comment on Breast Cancer Malpractice Statistics | Michigan Medical Malpractice Lawyers

Hi,
I am a full time self employed Consultant with the STate of Michigan. In 1995 diagnosed with BR CA left outside breast, had chemo therapy (adriamycin) and surgery from Owosso Memorial Hospital, then 40 sessions of radiation from McClaren Cancer Center, on Ballenger High Way, o.k. 12-13 years later having many health and immune problems i.e. just got over having mono again for the 3rd time in 10 years, but more importantly what I'm mad about is: they said a sliver of my heart and/or lung may catch radiation, but it wouldn't be a big deal. I have a blocked artery and part of my heart is not getting blood to it, so lately I'm having more difficulties and I'm mad. Scheduled for heart cath Jan. 2. Is there any legal ramifications of the blocked arthery? I am 47 years old.

Thanks,

A comment on Esophageal Cancer Malpractice | Michigan Medical Malpractice Lawyers

As president of the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association, I applaud you for drawing attention to esophageal cancer. However, your statistics are WRONG and thst is very damaging to your discussion. The National Cancer Institute predicts that new cases of esophageal cancer in the US in 2008 will be between 15,500 and 16, 000 and that deaths will exceed 14,500. Although EC is the fastest increasing cancer in the country, it is still considered rare. That rarity makes it difficult to warn adequately of the danger of acid reflux and Barretts esophagus, predisposing factors for EC.

A comment on Michigan Stroke Malpractice Lawyers | Michigan Medical Malpractice Lawyers

I have been involved with doppler testing for stroke prevention- not just the carotid doppler but also transcranial doppler which looks at the blood flow in the brain. It is an easy test, well documented for its efficacy, but not widely available in the US. TCD is used extesively overseas. Our company, Sentient Neurocare Services, is striving to make this testing more available. Perhaps with the possibility of MD's being found negligent for not having at risk patients tested with TCD, the demand will grow and the incidence of avoidable strokes will go down!

A comment on Tragic Romeo Car Accident

The driver of the neon was at fault, there is only two stop signs at the intersection, for those going north, and those heading south, she failed to check cross traffic before proceeding after her stop. I have lived in romeo my entire life and there has been countless accidents at that intersection, it is also the only intersection within a 4 mile stretch that doesn't have a 4 way stop. Is there anyway that you could do something to get one put up there??? There has to be some safety clause that could call for one?
