A patient being transported in an ambulance died Tuesday morning when another vehicle crashed into the ambulance. The Detroit car accident occurred on eastbound Grand River and roads were closed for the investigation. The driver of the car and the ambulance driver were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The family of the deceased patient can file a Michigan Wrongful Death claim against the negligent driver, which would be either the driver of the ambulance or the diver of the vehicle that crashed into the ambulance. At this point, police have not indicated who was at fault for the accident. The family could also make a Michigan No-Fault Insurance claim for different benefits, which include payment of funeral expenses. My firm handles these type of cases throughout Detroit and the entire State of Michigan.
