A Detroit truck accident closed the westbound side of Interstate 96 in Detroit on Thursday due to a fuel tanker which overturned and collided with another vehicle. The tanker overturned around 10 p.m. A car carrying three people was involved in an accident with the tanker. The occupants of the car received nonlife threatening injuries, said Sgt. McCormick of the State Police post. It is considered a Level 3 hazardous materials situation, said McCormick.

Our firm handles a significant number of truck accident cases throughout the State of Michigan. The injuries from those accidents are quite often serious. The three passengers in this accident who escaped serious injuries are quite fortunate.
