Just a tragic Michigan truck accident the other day on I-94 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Three Detroiters were returning from a trip to Chicago when a relative's car broke down. They used their vehicle to push the disabled car on the highway. While pushing the vehicle slowly in the right hand lane, they were struck by a large semi-truck which caused a huge crash, tragically killing everyone inside the vehicle.

Under Michigan law, all three people inside the vehicle would be entitiled to No-Fault insurance benefits. This would provide their families with funds for funeral expenses, lost wages, and other benefits. They may also have a Miichigan Wrongful Death lawsuit against the truck driver and trucking company. My firm handles a significant number of truck accident cases in Michigan and we are frequently presented with issues similar to this accident.
