A terrible Michigan car accident Sunday claimed the life of two people and seriously injured a third person. in Alger County Sunday, Episcopalian bishop James Kelsey died in the accident as did the driver of the truck that he collided with when he crossed the center lane into oncoming traffic. Police believe that severe thunderstorms in the area may have been a factor.

Under Michigan law, the family of the driver killed can file a wrongful death case against the estate of bishop Kelsey. The bishop's car insurance policy would pay any settlement. The passenger in that car also has a claim for her injuries suffered in the accident. Our firm handles a significant number of serious injury and wrongful death cases and routinely makes insurance claims for the accident victims.
