A tragic story in today's newspaper about a Fraser, Michigan math teacher who was killed last Sunday in a Michigan car accident. She was struck by another vehicle while leaving church services.

Under Michigan law, her relatives are permitted to file a Michigan Wrongful Death lawsuit against the negligent driver for monetary damages. The family also can file a Michigan No-Fault Insurance claim with her own car insurance company for payment of funeral expenses and recovery of lost wages (up to three years) and other benefits. My firm handles these claims and we are familiar with the intricacies of the complex Michigan No-Fault laws.
