We often hear about car and motorcycle accidents, but bicycle accidents also occur frequently during the summer months. Many motorists simply ignore the rights of bike riders or simply are not paying attention to people on bikes. There was a recent Michigan bicycle accident in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A biker was struck by a car and taken to the emergency room for treatment for head trauma and other serious injuries.

A bicyclist struck by a car in Michigan can pursue a claim for No-Fault Benefits for medical expenses, lost wages, and other losses. The biker can also sue the negligent driver for the injuries and even make a claim under the biker's own policy for uninsured motorists benefits if the negligent driver flees the scene or was uninsured at the time of the accident. My firm handles a number of these cases throughout the State of Michigan.
