A serious Michigan car accident last Friday killed three people and seriously injured two in Attica Township, Michigan. Apparently, and eighty-one year old man and his seventy-six year old wife were traveling to visit relatives when they vehicle crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by another woman. All three of them died in the accident. Another vehicle crashed into the wreckage, causing injuries to a mother and young child.

Under Michigan law, there are several possible legal claims that can be made by the persons involved in the accident. All injury victims, and their families, are entitled to Michigan No-Fault benefits to cover things like funeral expenses, medical bills, and lost wages. The wife and the other woman killed in the accident could file a Michigan Wrongful Death Claim against the negligent driver for monetary compensation. These claims are typically filed by surviving family members. The injured mother and her daughter can also file claims against the negligent driver if their injuries are serious enough to meet the threhhold under Michigan law. My firm handles these cases frequently throughout the State of Michigan.
