A Lansing, Michigan jury has found a thirty-six year old woman guilty of manslaughter for causing the wrongful death of a forty-six year old Delta Township man in a car accident on December 2, 2005. The convicted woman was driving an SUV and ran numerous red lights before striking the decedent's vehicle. She faces up to 15 years on prison. His family has the right to file a civil lawsuit against the woman for his wrongful death caused by her driving. Our firm recently settled a wrongful death case for a family for $1,600,000.00 when a driver struck a pedestrian off the shoulder of the road.
