Holiday weekends always seem to be a time with a significant number of Michigan car accidents. This is obviously because more people are taking to the roads on holidays, but for some reason people seem to be less cautious. There was a fatal accident near St. Joseph, Michigan on I-94 yesterday. One person was killed, and another was taken to the hospital after a crash.

The accident occurred on Interstate 94 near Washington Avenue when a vehicle traveling eastbound crossed the median and hit a vehicle that was heading westbound, according to a release from the St. Joseph Township Police Department. The crash caused both vehicles to go into the westbound ditch. The driver of the eastbound car was pronounced dead at the scene.and the other driver was transported to Lakeland Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
