Police are investigating a weekend Michigan car accident on Mound near Hall Road that claimed the life of a 25-year-old Sterling Heights resident. Police say the victim was trapped in the front passenger seat of a black Pontiac Grand Am after the crash and was taken to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He later died. The victim's family can file a wrongful death lawsuit against the other driver, if it can be proved that the other driver caused the accident. The victim's family can also make claims under the Michigan No-Fault law for insurance benefits, regardless of who was at fault in the accident.
