A 19 year old White Lake man died last week in a Michigan motorcycle accident. The biker was driving on Elizabeth Lake Road in Waterford Township when his cycle collided with a Dodge Dakota. Police are still investigating the accident but there was apparently no alcohol involved.

The family of the biker can investigate two possible claims related to the accident. First, the family can pursue a wrongful death claim against the driver of the Dakota if it can be established that the driver was negligent in her operateion of the SUV. Second, the family can file a claim for Michigan No-Fault benefits to cover funeral expenses, any medical expenses, and other allowable expenses if the motorcycle was insured. My firm handles a significant number of Michigan motorcycle accident cases and we have expertise into the types of claims available to injured bikers.
