A Saginaw, Michigan police officer was struck by an oncoming car Wednesday night on Saginaw's west side. He was attempting to assist a fellow officer make a drug arrest. The other vehicle ran a stop sign and caused the car accident. The officer and two passengers in the other car were injured. In Michigan, police and firefighters are limited in their right to file negligence lawsuits and claims against businesses and individuals if the officers are injured during the course of their work. My firm has successfully assisted several officers in pursuing claims for their injuries.
