A terrible accident resulted in the death of six employees from India who worked locally here for a Troy company.  The accident victims were in a mini-van traveling through Ohio when the driver crossed the center of the road and struck another vehicle.  One passenger in the mini-van survived. Minivan driver Kaushik Deb, 26, of Troy, died on impact. The passengers killed were Manoj Jharia, 35; his wife Mili Jharia, 28; Nitin Agarwal, 29; his wife Swati Singhal, 25; and Subham Choudary, 24.

The families of those killed in the accident do have legal rights and are entitled to compensation for their loss under Michigan law. My law firm has handled similar cases and we have obtained excellent settlements for the families under the Michigan Wrongful Death Act.  Other claims can be made under the Michigan No-Fault law for lost wages and other benefits.  I would be glad to speak with families who lost loved ones in this accident to explain their rights.
