A 60 year old woman suffered severe injuries when her motorcycle was struck by a Ford Explorer. The woman, who was riding her motorcycle alongside her husband on another motorcycle, is in critical condition. Police are investigating the reasons for the Detroit motorcycle accident. My firm handles a significant number of motorcycle injury accident cases and we frequently see drivers, who disregard the safety rights of motorcyclists, cause tragic accidents. While the cause of this particular accident is not yet known, the injured woman is entitled to receive no-fault insurance benefits regardless of whether she was at fault in the accident. Most cyclists are unaware of their insurance rights in Michigan and we frequently educate them on that subject.
