I just returned from Chicago yesterday where I was attending the national child lead paint poisoning seminar with attorneys from all over the United States. The seminar focused on current trends in this litigation and discussed the most recent medical and scientific information on this terrible disease. An article that appeared yesterday about a family in Portland, Maine caught my attention. It chronicles the impact that a diagnosis of child lead poisoning has had on a family whose child was diagnosed with lead poisoning. The poisoning came from deteriorated paint in an old home. I have represented hundreds of families with similar circumstances in lawsuits over the last ten years.
