A California ride carnival collapsed and injured 24 riders yesterday.  The Calaveras County Fair, near Sacramento, was busy with children and their families enjoying the rides and festivities when the carnival ride, The Yo-Yo, collapsed.  This caused the seats of the ride to fall to the ground and resulted in injuries to the riders.  The riders, mostly children, were taken to a local hospital.

With summer just around the corner, the attendance at county fairs, theme parks, and amusement parks will be at full capacity.  Although most rides check out to be safe, it seems like every summer we hear of ride collapsing or serious injuries being reported from a defective ride.  Persons injured on these types of rides do have legal rights against the fair operators and theme park owners and should contact an attorney immediately after the accident.
