Cleveland City Council is considering filing a lawsuit against the makers of lead paint, including Sherwin Williams. Lead-based paint was banned for use in households in the United States in 1978, but thousand of children continue to suffer lead poisoning injuries every year from deteriorated paint in older homes. Several lawsuits have been filed by other states, including Rhode Island, and by cities, including Milwaukee and Toledo. I have represented hundreds of families and their children in lead paint poisoning cases throughout Michigan and Ohio and have obtained significant settlments for them.
