A jury in New York awarded a 12 year old girl $3.5 million for brain damage injuries suffered due to lead paint poisoning in her rented apartment. As an infant, she was exposed to lead paint hazards in her apartment. The landlord failed to make timely repairs and she suffered from a continuing exposure. The girl suffered cognitive and behavioral problems from the lead poisoning. My firm represents children in lead poisoning cases throughout Michigan and Ohio and we regularly obtain significant settlements for our clients.
