A Kalamazoo-based company is recalling 129,000 pounds of beef products because of possible E.coli contamination, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced on its Web site Wednesday afternoon. The meat products are made by Davis Creek Meats and Seafood company and were made for Gordon Food Service stores.

Michigan Department of Community Health investigators discovered the possible e-coli problem. There have been many recent incidents of e-coli and other food poisoning both at retail stores and at restaurants over the last several years. The injuries from e-coli can be devastating and victims of this poisoning have legal rights to file suit against the distributors of the tainted food.
