I read a tragic story about a 79 year old Florida , James Weekely, who was killed in Dundee, Michigan when his car struck a tractor-trailer that had stopped suddenly for a downed electrical line. His wife, Hazel Weekley, who was also in the car, suffered significant injuries and is in critical care at a hospital in Toledo.

The holiday season started off with tragic news for the boating community on Saturday night.  Three passengers of a speed boat, including the driver, were killed and two others suffered serious injuries when their boat struck dock in Lake St. Clair's Belvidere Bay.  Police officials are still investigating the reasons that the boat, The Rum Runner, struck the dock.

A federal lawsuit filed by the family of an Ypsilanti Township man recently settled for $4 million. A Detroit lawyer died in a Detroit apartment fire yesterday. The 47 year old attorney was found by firefighters at the Forest Arms Apartment complex while trying to put out the huge blaze that swept through the building. A terrible tragedy yesterday at a Chicago child day care center took the life of a 22 month old toddler. The child was dropped off by his mother at day care by his mother while she went to work.
