Wrongful Death Due to Medication Mix-Up

The family of a patient who died because of a drug mix-up during surgery agreed to a $1.775 million settlement of their wrongful death case. The suit claims doctors accidentally gave the patient the wrong drug and failed to tell the patient's family how he died. The original death certificate said the patient died of natural causes, however it was changed after the body was exhumed, according to the coroner's office.
